Jeffrey D. Querin

Artistic Director.  Actor.  Bookkeeper extraordinaire.  Plays snobby Englishman really well.  Created the Dorito game as a child — stuffing as many chips in his mouth as possible. As an alum of Evangel College Missouri and NYU’s Masters of Educational Theater program, Jeffrey has worked with the Great Lakes Theatre Festival, Cleveland Public Theater, A. D. Players in Houston, Indianapolis Repertory Theater, Provincetown Playhouse, and the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in NYC.  Performance highlights include Much Ado About Nothing, Folktale Journey, Procession of Ghouls w/Ralph Lee, Everyman, The Little Prince, A Year With Frog and Toad and Cotton Patch Gospel.

Stephen Wayne

Creative Director.  Actor.  Writes most of the shows.  Plays absent-minded police officer really well.  Started creating stories when he was ten with his G.I Joe action figures.  His recent romantic-comedy “My Name is Ruth” was awarded "Overall Excellence in Playwriting" at the New York International Fringe Festival and performed at the Piccolo Spoleto Festival 2010.  Other prominent works include the WWI drama-comedy “Waiting for Joshua” (think Samuel Beckett meets Irving Berlin) and the modern/industrial “Daniel” (think Shawshank Redemption meets Geek Squad).  Performances include Damn Yankees, The Magician’s Nephew, A Year With Frog and Toad, The Glass Menagerie, Our Town and the off-Broadway run of John, His Story.

The Company

Our wonderful and crazy company of actors, designers & musicians - this wouldn't be nearly as much fun without them!

Lana Campfield

Percussion. Also known as Lana-khan. Plays all percussion instruments at once. Has performned in every 34west musical since 2001 and insists that the 34west Band be called “Lana and the Lanatones”. A body builder in her past life, she spends most of her days now building and restoring other people’s lives as an exercise physiologist.

Magdalyn Donnelly

Actor.  Plays jilted starlet really well. MFA graduate from The Shakespeare Theatre's Academy for Classical Acting at The George Washington University. She puts the rest of us to shame with her Bard credits of As You Like It, Merry Wives of Windsor, Titus Andronicus, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Taming of the Shrew. Even though she has performed with the Folger Theatre, Illinois Shakespeare Festival and the Centre Theatre in Philadelphia, the role that will follow her forever is…wait for it…Ruth, in 34west’s “My Name is Ruth.”

Maria Householder

Actor.  Plays stage hand, angry cook, and dancing banana girl really well. Maria joined 34west in 2002 and has performed in numerous 34west productions including Grand Ole Jamboree, The Orient Express, Clues, Christmas at the Inn ’07-’09 and Heartbreak Hotel. Other shows include Jesus Christ Superstar, Camelot, and Wizard of Oz. A mother to three, business entrepreneur, and considers painting her “crack.”

Carla Jenkins

Piano. Probably will play piano for the heavenly choir. Music teacher at Youngstown Christian School. Champions the musical theater department ever spring. Notable 34west productions include…every musical since 2004. She would say A Year With Frog and Toad was the crowning achievement. Guess we’ll have to pull that one off the shelf again someday soon.

Pamela Querin

Designer. Prop master. Illustrator. Wields fabric and wrapping paper better than Martha Stewart – seriously. She’s dressed mystery sets on a shoe-string and turned a few weeds from the north forty into beautiful flower arrangements for post-show receptions. When not making 34west look better than they are, she can be found on any bookshelf in most bookstores and Amazon search engines with her illustrated picture books and novels.

Barb Scott

Costumer. Road Manager. Occassional actor. Barb last appeared in 34west’s Radio Jamboree series. And let’s not forget the manipulative "Miss Black" in Clues. She has designed costumes for theaters around the northeastern states. Her 34west designs include Christmas at the Inn (‘05-’08), Truffle in Paradise, Return of Franklin Styne, A Year With Frog and Toad, Waiting for Joshua, and the Radio Jamboree series. She blogs, she cooks, she hunts, she sews, she acts, she mothers…a jackie of all trades.

Alan Styer

Bass. Voted most likely to fall asleep during a matinee. Used to travel with the ‘70’s Christian rock band “Daybreak.” Has played in every 34west musical since 2001. When not ripping it up with the 34west Band, Alan can be seen creating and restoring beautiful wooden creations that pass through the doors of such auction houses as Sotheby’s and Christies.

Thomas Weaver

Actor. Musician. Plays rock star angel like none other.  A resident of Harrisburg, PA and a graduate of Otterbein College, Tom's worked with the Delaware Shakespeare Festival, Philadelphia Fringe, The Dixie Theatre in Apalachiacola FL, and Great Lakes Theater Festival.  Shows like Smoke on the Mountain and 34west's Cotton Patch Gospel bring out Tom's "inner-hillbilly" as he can rock the banjo, guitar, bass, harmonica and jaw harp.

Valerie Weingart

Actor. Can laugh on cue better than anyone. Graduate of Grove City College, Valerie is a featured performer in many 34west productions. Her performances have included leading roles in Sound of Music, Camelot and 42nd Street. Past 34west productions include Radio Jamboree, John, His Story (including the Ukraine tour), Christmas at the Inn ‘04, and Clues. A mother in life but also a mother to nations in one of 34west’s most popular shows “Abraham and Sarah”.

Rebecca Whittenberger

Actor. Representing young Carol Burnetts everywhere. Graduate of Moody College and Director of Education for the Arms Museum in Youngstown, OH.  Rebecca was the first part-time employee for 34west in 2005. Performances include Grand Ole Jamboree, Truffle in Paradise (’06), Cotton Patch Gospel, Bride of Franklin Styne, and A Year With Frog and Toad. Rebecca wrote a play in high school but refuses to tell us anything about it other than plastic food was involved.
