We’ve begun a music night series entitled TURN DOWN THE VALIUM, which features amazing vocalists, some great laughs and a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy fine wine and tunes in downtown Charleston.

VALIUM, VOL. II will be on Oct 15 (and is almost sold out!).

Many have asked about Memberships. For a $200 donation (gasp!) to 34 West you’ll be able to reserve your seats whenever you purchase tickets for one year.

Hi folks! Can you believe its time for Fall?! We’ve had an amazing, record-breaking summer and so thankful for all who joined us for our 70’s show. We’ll never forget those disco ball space helmets!

We’re super duper excited to share with you our NEW 80’s show TIME OF MY LIFE, starting next week. Excuse me while I go memorize my lines :()

Tickets are already selling quickly — mainly because everyone’s rushing to get their holiday plans in order — but not to worry, there’s still plenty of seats to get your friends together. I promise you, it’s going to be hilarious, surprising and completely and utterly feel-good. M&M’s and a nice bottle of wine are standing by.

Listen up — we’re upgrading our sound system!!! Vocals will be clearer, music will be thumping, AND you’ll still have a great seat no matter where you sit. It always sounds great but now it’s going to sound even better. If you’d like to help contribute to the cause (and get reserved seats for the year) you can donate here.

Speaking of volume… our next event TURN DOWN THE VALIUM, VOL. II is October 15. This is a chill night of angsty tunes, epic ballads, and hanging with friends in downtown Charleston. Last month’s music night was a huge success and everyone who attended asked for more… so here it is! Hope you can join us :)

Super-close to all the action, but not in the show.

There is nowhere to hide at 34 West. The furthest seat from the stage is just 12 feet! With that sort of proximity to the actors, you can’t help but feel like you’re transported to the world of the story.

Our stories are epic in nature — transporting you from a radio theater to the city streets to the country, as in HITCHCOCK (above), OR from a jailhouse to the bayou to a beauty pageant, as in MOONSHINE (below).

If a cabaret and a black box theater had a fling with a wine bar, you’d wake up with 34 West.

And we post a “no sing-a-long” notice at our entrance when we produce musicals, mostly because you’re so close to all the action, if feels like you’re in your living room — it’s that intimate.

There aren’t too many places in the world where you can be that close to the actors who are performing the play they wrote themselves!

That's Entertainment!

More live shows. More streaming. More entertainment!

First up, we’re planning 4 live productions that will bring you to your feet and give you all the feels in 2023.

With 1 repeat hit from 2019 and 3 never-before-seen comedies, we’re certain you have all you need to plan your next several date nights :) We can’t reveal the titles just yet but we promise you’ll burst with excitement when you find out what they are.

Filming is underway for our second short film, ARDEN HIGH. Inspired by our sellout 80’s series Addicted to Love, the short follows our high school secretary as she navigates prom and single-motherhood. We’ll be submitting to film festivals around the globe in early January. And then… we’ll be pitching this story and others to our peeps in Hollywood.

Our NTLive series featuring screenings of the latest National Theatre of London productions will occur monthly and are absolutely inspired. If you’ve never attended one of these Sunday night events, think of it like “movie night” except it feels like sitting in the front row of a world-class production.

There’s a lot planned for 2023 but it’s all just the icing on an already delicious cake made especially for you to enjoy.

Because our hope is that you’ll leave happier than when you arrived. That your mouth will hurt from smiling so much. That you’ll experience something incredibly innovative and breathtaking — basically, that you’ll feel all the feels.

After all, that’s entertainment!

Ground Zero

It’s here we test new material — new stories, new bits, new characters.

It’s never gone up in flames. We’ve never had a night that wasn’t entertaining, where the audience wasn’t fully invested.

HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?! YOU’RE PERFORMING SHOWS THAT HAVE NEVER BEEN PERFORMED.

The sky’s the limit. Even if the sky falls down — we won’t.

Because every moment is held by our performers every step of the way. If the characters are compelling, then the story is there. If the story is there, then the world of the characters grows. If that world grows, then sequels get made!

And this is where the goods are — follow-up stories where we see the return of these same characters encountering new problems, relationships, new songs, etc.

Will there be a sequel to our sellout summer show SHE DRIVES ME CRAZY?

I think you already know the answer.
