Not only was this our first show in Charleston to sellout the entirety of it’s run (3 months in 2016!) but it was also the show we met our kind friends Terrence McNally and Tom Kirdahy, who attended a performance on their visit to Charleston.
Both men are Tony Award winners in the broadway world and had nothing but exuberant comments on the show and the style of theater we produce. “Innovative, subversive, completely original…” were some of the comments they gave to the cast after the show. Now keep in mind, the shows we write/produce are always hopeful and sincere but also chalk full of tongue & cheek and inuendo to the max! Like watching your favorite sitcom, if sitcoms had hilarious moments of breaking into song! LOL
GROOVY KINDA LOVE is completely charming, funny, and a breath of fresh air after what’s been a tumultuous year and a half. We hope you’ll be able to join us this fall in historic downtown Charleston for a one-of-a-kind theatrical experience :)
