Bigger and Better

Over the past 7 years we’ve created close to 30 new musicals, never-before-seen. When we returned from lockdown at the beginning of this year, we decided to revisit some of our most popular shows and give each a sort of 2.0 rewrite.

GROOVY KINDA LOVE first premiered in 2015 and was one of our first shows to sellout it’s entire run (3 months!). The result of this updated show is sillier, slightly more subversive, more innovative (if you know, you know) and contains more heart than ever before.

These evenings are crafted with you in mind. From the moment you walk into the theater until it’s time to say goodnight, you’ll feel… happy, inspired, and if nothing else, very much aware that you’ve never experienced anything like this before. Anywhere.

Our 3-month Sellout Returns

Romantic-comedies are our specialty these days. And we think they pair nicely with one of our Paso Robles wines and a bowl of specialty Dill Popcorn at your table (Some prefer a nice red with assorted chocolate candies, and you know who you are...). Whichever you prefer, taking in a heartfelt-hilarious show this autumn in downtown Charleston is just about the best way to spend an evening in this historic town. Our actors and designers have been selling out most shows for the past 7 years with high-energy, innovative productions never seen anywhere else. One-of-a-Kind

Each of our shows is written by our actors and designers- which is the main reason audiences return again and again. They just want to see whatever it is we’ve created next! We’ll make a county jail’s visiting room with soundproof glass out of two phones and an actor (as seen above in 2018’s MOONSHINE COUNTY CHRISTMAS). Or one actor will quickly play multiple roles with the repositioning of a woman’s jumper. Whatever the circumstance, the result is always a clever, innovative and completely one-of-a-kind performance in downtown Charleston, unlike anything you’ve ever seen.

13 Weeks In A Row!

We’re very proud of the cast/crew of STAYIN’ ALIVE for creating (and writing!) such an electric and hilarious 70’s musical- one that would end up selling out for 13 weeks in a row. Our First Sellout show returns!

Not only was this our first show in Charleston to sellout the entirety of it’s run (3 months in 2016!) but it was also the show we met our kind friends Terrence McNally and Tom Kirdahy, who attended a performance on their visit to Charleston.

Both men are Tony Award winners in the broadway world and had nothing but exuberant comments on the show and the style of theater we produce. “Innovative, subversive, completely original…” were some of the comments they gave to the cast after the show. Now keep in mind, the shows we write/produce are always hopeful and sincere but also chalk full of tongue & cheek and inuendo to the max! Like watching your favorite sitcom, if sitcoms had hilarious moments of breaking into song! LOL

GROOVY KINDA LOVE is completely charming, funny, and a breath of fresh air after what’s been a tumultuous year and a half. We hope you’ll be able to join us this fall in historic downtown Charleston for a one-of-a-kind theatrical experience :)
